Legendary musician Jimi Hendrix was named the best guitarist in history by Rolling Stone magazine. As reported by Reuters, Hendrix managed to occupy the top of the list prepared by the expert jury consisting of top music and guitarist.
"Jimi Hendrix blew up our ideas about how rock music. He manipulates guitar, whammy bar, studio and stage," said Tom Morello, guitarist who never won a Grammy award.
Besides Hendrix, the other musicians on the list of top ten best guitarists in history is Eric Clapton, BB King, Keith Richards, Jimmy Page and Pete Townshend.
The jury consisting of experts was asked to choose their favorite guitar players, including musicians such as Lenny Kravitz, Eddie Van Halen, Brian May and Dan Auerbach. The results are then combined with the option writer and senior editor of Rolling Stone.
