Twelve hospitals in Washington receiving information technology services from Inland Northwest Health Services have successfully attested for meaningful use.

Evelyn Ralston, 90, of Washington, died Thursday, December 29, 2011, in Donnell House, Washington.
She was born May 25, 1921, in Greene County, daughter of the late George Staley and Floella Isiminger Staley.

A Tacoma man was killed and at least five other people were injuries in a string of accidents around the region this morning. The State Patrol reports that the 49-year-old Tacoma man was driving north on Highway 97 near Blewett Pass when his pickup went over an embankment and landed in Ruby Creek. The driver was pronounced dead at the scene.

City police are asking anyone with information about a possible assault on a Washington man to come forward after he was found bloodied in an abandoned house Tuesday. Officers responded to a house on the corner of Taylor Avenue and Wilna Street for a report of an assault. Upon arrival, police met with two men, one of whom identified himself as son of Michael Black, of 604 Maryland Ave., and said his father was on the floor of the house.
