A husband and wife in England was startled by a mummified cat that fell from the ceiling. At that time, both of which are expert home remodeling, renovating an old house was derived from 18th-century ago.

Her husband, Andrew Hartley, was repairing the roof of the house in the area of Knaresborough, North Yorkshire, England. But suddenly there was a falling object and the object was a dead cat.

But strangely, the carcass is still in one piece. Dead cat was also dry and stiff, not like most other animal carcasses.

"This thing is very well preserved, and I think this seems to already be up there for over 100 years. We looked around the internet and apparently this kind of discovery, including very rare," said Andrew as reported by the Daily Mail, Saturday (1 / 28/ 2012).

Against this discovery, preservation experts can not ensure 100 percent if the cat is in a state of dead or alive when preserved. However, seeing his position at the ceiling, thought the cat was intentionally preserved while still alive.

According to folklore, there are old habits to put the cat is preserved as a wall decoration in symbol of good luck. The wife, George Hartley confirms this.

"Dead cat was placed in the house to ward off evil spirits. During the renovation process, we also found many dried garlic around the house, this is also a symbol to ward off evil spirits arrival. We do not know whether the cat is placed in the ceiling before he died, but did not have teeth, and this indicates that the cat was already old when it died, or maybe he lost his tooth while trying to get out of there, "explained George.

More than 50 billion chickens are reared annually as a source of food, for both their meat and their eggs.

The vast majority of poultry are raised using intensive farming techniques. According to the Worldwatch Institute, 74 percent of the world's poultry meat, and 68 percent of eggs are produced this way. One alternative to intensive poultry farming is free range farming.

Friction between these two main methods has led to long term issues of ethical consumerism. Opponents of intensive farming argue that it harms the environment, creates human health risks and is inhumane. Advocates of intensive farming say that their highly efficient systems save land and food resources due to increased productivity, stating that the animals are looked after in state-of-the-art environmentally controlled facilities.

In part due to the conditions on intensive poultry farms and recent recalls of large quantities of eggs, there is a growing movement for small scale micro-flocks or 'backyard chickens'. This involves keeping small numbers of hens (usually no more than a dozen), in suburban or urban residential areas to control bugs, utilize chicken waste as fertilizer in small gardens, and of course for the high-quality eggs and meat that are produced.

Cougar is the mightiest of the animals in the forest.
Cougar was walking in the forest, and he jumped onto a fallen log to look around. From inside the log came a tiny voice.

"Get off the roof of my lodge!" Out from the rotten end of the log came a tiny Cricket. "You are standing on the roof of my lodge, Cougar," said the little insect. "You must step off now, or the roof-pole will break and my lodge will fall in."

"Who are you to tell me what to do?" asked Cougar sternly, although he did step off the log. He lowered his head until his nose was very close to Cricket. "In this forest, I am the chief of the animals!"

"Chief or no Chief," said Cricket bravely, "I have a cousin who is mightier than you, and he would avenge me."

I don't believe you, little insect," snarled Cougar.

"Believe me or believe me not," said Cricket. "it is so."

Twitter describes itself as, “a service for friends, family, and co–workers to communicate and stay connected through the exchange of quick, frequent answers to one simple question: What are you doing?”

If you’re new Twitter, then that description might seem a bit vague and ambiguous. So, to help you wrap your mind around the short-form messaging tool, start thinking about Twitter as a new form of online communication. Twitter is just communication in a new shape, but it’s also a platform for listening to the communication of others in new ways.

Currently we have email, instant messenger, and VoIP tools like Skype as one-to-one or one-to-few online communication tools. For one-to-many online communication, online publishers can turn to blogs to create and distribute content rapidly and reach anyone on the web through RSS feeds.

Twitter is a combination of these various forms of communication, but its primary difference is that posts, or tweets, are restricted to 140 characters or less. As a Twitter user you can post updates, follow and view updates from other users (this is akin to subscribing to a blog’s RSS feed), and send a public reply or private direct message to connect with another Twitterer.

Though users can answer the prompt, “What are you doing?”, tweets have evolved to more than everyday experiences, and take the shape of shared links to interesting content on the web, conversations around hot topics (using hashtags), photos, videos, music, and, most importantly, real-time accounts from people who are in the midst of a newsworthy event, crisis, or natural disaster.
